Mission Statement to Our Constant Reader

February 16, 2014 by smarmos12

I’ve started this blog with the hope of having a single compendium of all the news that libertarians have been making lately, especially since 2009 when all of us on the right side of history noticed a lot of resistance from people on the Right to all the progress we the people want and need to make.

It would be an understatement to say I’m concerned or worried. Especially with all the news involving the Koch brothers, Citizens United, Rand Paul, the Snowden leaks, and the constant push by capitalists to undermine the real problems we as a people and a global community all face: inequality, hunger, systemic racism, global climate change, and universal, free health care for all.

Basically, libertarians are just a new iteration of the old conservative right who want to knock the world back to the 1820s – where the corporations and business owners can hoard all the wealth while exploiting the working classes.

I know I seem to have made this a somewhat personal statement, but in 2014 after all the progress society has made, and tries to continue, I think the rise of the libertarians presents a very real threat to progress as they capitalize on crisis, like all capitalists do, and try to use their wealth and propaganda to sway people to their cause and vote against their interests.

I simply want this site to help inform the people of this new and potent threat by analyzing news stories and events featuring libertarians and their fight against the rights and freedoms of the common people.
